Parental Control Tips for New Parents

1) Parents need to know their kids username and password of their kids social media account.

2) Each one of your browsers such as Safari, Google Chrome and Firefox have different ways of filtering out websites that are inappropriate for your kids. Parents need to enable those filters on all of them.

3) If you know your child's schoolmates, then it shouldn't be a problem to know their online friends as well. Make sure you have full access to their social media such as Facebook and can take a look whenever you wish.

4) The location of their computers, tablets or any other mobile devices shouldn't be privately in their rooms. Place them in a high traffic zone such as the living room or your kitchen.

5) Talk to your kids about the danger and risk being online. It is OK if they are being scared than being unaware. This type of communication should be done before you allow your kids to use the internet.
